Harper's Fine Arts Series: A History of Sculpture by George Chase and Chandler Post is an authoritative exploration of sculpture from ancient times to the modern era. This 1925 edition offers a detailed account of the development of the art form, covering iconic works from ancient Greece and Rome, the Renaissance, and more contemporary movements. With insightful commentary on styles, techniques, and key artists, this book is a valuable resource for anyone studying or appreciating the history of sculpture. Lavishly illustrated with examples of renowned works, it provides a thorough and engaging look into the evolution of sculpture across different cultures and time periods.

The book is in Very Good condition for its age, showing minimal signs of wear. There are two previous owner's marks inside, and the end papers show some apparent bleed-through from the original glue used during binding, which is typical for books of this era. Despite these minor flaws, the pages remain clean and the binding is intact, making this a well-preserved copy for its age and an excellent addition to any art history collection.
