Ender's War is the first two books in The Ender Quintet, a science fiction series by Orson Scott Card. The series is also known as the Ender Saga or Enderverse. The first book, Ender's Game, is about a war between humans and an alien race called the Formics, and the selection of Andrew "Ender" Wiggin to save the world. Ender is a "Third", a rare third child in a society that usually only allows two children per family. He's a brilliant and compassionate child who's sent to study war at Battle School, where student armies fight mock wars and other games to develop strategies against the aliens. The training is tough, and the rules are changed without warning to push Ender's abilities to the limit. If Ender fails, the human race is doomed.
