Since I can remember, there have been books. Being read, covering the walls in improvised bookshelves. Used bookstores were a destination looked forward to every week. The growing anticipation over weeks, as the weekend of the library book sale approached, saving up, or signing up to volunteer. In my youth I was always devouring classic science fiction and fantasy at home, on the bus, getting in trouble for doing so during class...

 Becoming a bookseller was one of those dreams that wouldn't pan out in reality, I felt. But after many years in tech, in corporate America, the importance and the beauty of pursuing your passion has stepped boldly onto center stage.

 I always disregarded sayings like "Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life" as the naivete of youth or privilege. I stand so very, deeply corrected. I find myself saying "But, the books are the vacation..." as now I vacation every day.
 
Together with my husband, who's renewed passion for comic books joins the fray, we are at last bringing that dream to the world. Selling vintage, antiquarian and used books at reasonable prices with hopes to someday open a brick-and-mortar store.
